Gift Packaging: The Finishing Touches
15 July 2024
The finishing touches in gift packaging play a crucial role. They help create a more memorable unboxing experience for customers. These elements not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the gift. But also convey a sense of care and attention to detail that reflects well on your brand.
Elegant ribbons and shredded paper add a personal touch that makes recipients feel valued. Strong and durable transit packaging ensures the gift arrives in perfect condition. This demonstrates reliability and professionalism to your customers. By investing in these details, businesses foster customer loyalty. Happy customers are more likely to return and recommend the brand to others. So, what are the best finishing touches for you to opt for?
Picking The Right Hamper
Before we talk about how to finish off your hampers, let’s talk about the actual hampers you can choose from. Our hampers come in a variety of colours, sizes and materials. So, it’s easy to find the perfect addition to your gifting range or to create your own more varied collection. Our wicker hamper baskets are the more traditional option. They feature handles woven into the basket for added strength. The hinges and straps are vegan-friendly. They’re the perfect base for filling with different products.
Gift boxes and gift trays are a cost-effective alternative. You’re still creating attractive hampers your customers will love, plus the boxes and trays still have the same after use attribute. Like our wicker hampers, the strong construction of our cardboard range means they can be filled with a variety of items.
Our wooden wine boxes, hamper crates and bamboo/ slate boards all also make a more cost-effective hamper, giving you a better margin. Wooden wine boxes feature a robust construction, designed with a sliding front panel and rope handle. All our cardboard wine boxes come assembled to save you time.
Shredded Paper
Once you’ve picked the hamper or selection of hampers you want, it's best to think about void fill. Our FSC shredded paper and wood wool are available in various colours and bundle sizes. Using shredded paper for your packaging will not only enhance the presentation of your hampers. But it will also keep the hamper contents safe.
Choosing your colour is important. It’s very easy to go safe with cream, manilla and black (all of which we stock) but, particularly if you’re creating themed hampers, go a little outside the norm. Red, green, lilac, orange and more all make an eye-catching hamper. Unsure how much shred you’re going to need? When you add the hampers to your basket, you’ll see a shred calculator that works it all out for you. If in doubt, give our sales team a call on 01278 437123 or email sales@gadsby.co.uk and they’ll be happy to help.
Tying It All Together
By this point, you’ll have your hamper, shred and contents ready to go so now is the time for all-important final touches. If you’ve opted for an open hamper such as a bamboo board then you can shrink-wrap your hamper. This is great if your business is in-store as customers can view the contents without touching them. Find out how to shrink wrap a hamper here. Alternatively, use cellophane and some ribbon to wrap the hamper. This is particularly useful if you’re in a rush to get your hampers ready.
If you’re going for a simple closed hamper then your job is a little easier. Use satin ribbon from our range to tie your hamper up in a neat bow. The ribbon is available in a range of colours, from green and navy to gold and silver. If you want to save even more time, our pre-tied bows are for you. In either red or black, the bow and ribbon fit securely on the top of the hamper. The recipient can open the lid without the need to untie it and can reuse the bow after.
If you’re an online store then the last thing to remember is buying the correct transit packaging. Our easy-to-assemble postal boxes are ideal for shipping goods through the postal and courier systems. Our cardboard bottle sleeves are designed to safely ship bottles and delicate items to their destination.
